Family Swimming
For great summertime swimming, camping, & fishing
we have Keystone Lake - out West on Hwy 412, and
Skiatook Lake - out North on Hwy 75 - & West at
Hwy 20. (Skiatook Lake is a clean, man-made lake.)
Keystone State Park has boat ramps, marinas,
stores, eateries, camping/Rv facilities, shelters,
picnic tables, and showers. You have to take
the Hwy 151 exit, go over the dam and you will
drive right to the entrance on the R. side of the Hwy.
A great rustic swimming spot out on Lake Keystone
is beyond the Keystone Dam, & beyond the bridge that crosses the lake to Bear's Glen exit (Cabins).
Turn right on N. Peninsula Dr. - take first right; back
under Hwy 412, & at stop sign, turn right again on
S. Peninsula Dr. and continue to first left hand road
which will take you to Appalachia Bay.
(There may be an Appalachia Bay sign at road)
In town; kids spend their summers at Safari Joe's
Waterpark - 21st & Yale.

It's already pretty awesome and boasts all
kinds of events throughout the year. On
Sept. 24, 2020 the mayor announced a
giant water feature on behalf of John and
Mary Ann Bumgarner of the Bumgarner Family
Charitable Foundation, which made the
“major gift” to make the project possible.

A new guy was hired by my company and
asked where he could go, family places,
to have fun, so I provided this list for him
and immediately thought: "Why don't I have
a visitors page?" - cmf
